  How Does Rust-Stop Function?
  To explain how Rust-Stop functions, we need to first understand how rust is formed.
  
  Rust is the interaction between three elements; Water, Oxygen and negatively charged Free Electrons in the metal. If one of these agents are not present it is impossible for rust to form.
  
  Spray on rust-proofing methods try to protect the metal from water and oxygen but it is impossible to cover every area on the vehicle with this method and hard to reach areas often remain unprotected.
  
  It is in these areas that the rust begins as corrosion usually forms from inside out. Rust-Stop uses the latest technology in cathodic protection and impressed current to protect the entire vehicle, inside and out.
  
  Aluminium strips (Anodes) are mounted onto the body of the vehicle and connected to the unit. By outputting a positive charge of 45 volts onto the anodes, the negatively charged free electrons are attracted toward the anodes and away from the body of the vehicle. So instead of the vehicle rusting, the anodes now do the corroding.
